Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrival in Leh – Acclimatization Day

    Arrive at Leh Airport and transfer to your hotel. As you are arriving at a high altitude (11,500 feet), the first day will be dedicated to acclimatization. Spend the day relaxing and allowing your body to adjust to the thin air. In the evening, you can visit the nearby Leh Market or enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the Shanti Stupa, which offers a panoramic view of the Leh city and the snow-covered peaks.   • Day 2: Leh – Local Sightseeing

    After breakfast, begin your sightseeing tour of Leh. First, visit the Hall of Fame, a museum dedicated to the Indian army’s contributions in the region. Next, head to Magnetic Hill, where vehicles appear to roll uphill due to the region's unique topography. Visit the Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, a historical Sikh site, followed by Sangam Point, where the Indus and Zanskar Rivers meet. In the afternoon, visit Leh Palace for a glimpse into Ladakh’s rich cultural heritage. In the evening, relax at the Shanti Stupa. Overnight stay in Leh.

  • Day 3: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass (Approx. 130 km / 5-6 hrs)

    Today, you’ll drive to the beautiful Nubra Valley via the famous Khardung La Pass (18,380 feet), one of the world’s highest motorable roads. The drive offers spectacular views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. Upon reaching Nubra Valley, visit the Diskit Monastery, which is perched on a hill, offering panoramic views of the valley. Later, enjoy a unique camel ride on the sand dunes of Hunder. Overnight stay in Nubra Valley.

  • Day 4: Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake (Approx. 160 km / 6-7 hrs)

    Post breakfast, drive towards Pangong Lake. Take the scenic Shyok Valley route, passing through breathtaking landscapes of rocky hills and desert terrain. Upon reaching Pangong Lake, marvel at its mesmerizing shades of blue, surrounded by the rugged mountains. Spend time taking photographs or simply relax by the lake. Enjoy a quiet evening by the shores of the lake, watching the sunset over the vast expanse of water. Overnight stay in camps near Pangong Lake.

  • Day 5: Pangong Lake to Leh via Chang La Pass (Approx. 160 km / 6-7 hrs)

    After a peaceful morning by the lake, begin your return journey to Leh. Drive through the Chang La Pass (17,590 feet), the third highest motorable pass in the world, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. Visit the charming village of Tangtse before continuing your journey to Leh. On arrival, check into your hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Leh.

  • Day 6: Leh to Tso Moriri Lake via Chumathang (Approx. 220 km / 7-8 hrs)

    Today, you’ll head towards Tso Moriri Lake, a serene and lesser-known lake situated at an altitude of 15,000 feet. On your way, stop at Chumathang, famous for its hot springs. Continue through winding roads, crossing remote villages and beautiful valleys, to reach Tso Moriri Lake. Spend time by the lake, taking in the tranquil beauty of the surroundings. Overnight stay in a camp near the lake.

  • Day 7: Tso Moriri Lake to Leh (Approx. 220 km / 7-8 hrs)

    After breakfast, begin your journey back to Leh. On the way, stop at the Mahe Bridge for a scenic view of the surrounding area. Once in Leh, you can relax or spend your free time shopping for souvenirs in the Leh Market. Overnight stay in Leh.

  • Day 8: Leh to Lamayuru Monastery and Alchi Monastery (Approx. 125 km / 5-6 hrs)

    On this day, explore some of the famous monasteries of Ladakh. Visit the ancient Lamayuru Monastery, one of the oldest and most photogenic monasteries in the region. Then, drive towards Alchi Monastery, known for its beautiful murals and peaceful atmosphere. Return to Leh by evening and enjoy a leisurely night in the city. Overnight stay in Leh.

  • Day 9: Departure from Leh

    After breakfast, check out from your hotel and proceed to Leh Airport for your flight back home. Reflect on your unforgettable journey to the majestic land of Ladakh, where you’ve experienced the beauty of lakes, monasteries, and the rugged Himalayan landscapes.
